Who is RDC?
Founded in 1992 and restructured to a Variable Rate Loan Stock (VRLS) in 1996, RDC is a publicly quoted company listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE), leading the way in real estate investment and management in Botswana. Starting with commercial ventures, our portfolio, now valued at P6 billion, spans office spaces, retail centers, residential developments, and hotels across seven countries, including a growing presence in South Africa and recent expansions into Zambia, the USA, and Croatia.

Holding the number one position by value is the prestigious Masa Centre situated in the CBD of Gaborone, Botswana. The property holds a value of P573 million, with a gross lettable area of 26,961m2. This property proudly hosts the flagship tenant in hospitality – Protea hotel by Marriott, Gaborone, Masa Square, as well as other complementary retail and office tenants. RDC’s national headquarters are also situated in this property.
- Sub City Centre, Dubrovnik, Croatia
Our investment in Croatia includes this very successful shopping centre in the country’s second city, Dubrovnik. Boasting top retail tenants such as national supermarket Konzum and H&M, this property also has rental guaranteed by a head-lease with the anchor tenant. With a value of P494 million and GLA of 12,259m2, this property holds a significant portion of the market in the region.
- VMD Kvart, Zagreb, Croatia
The unique VMD Kvart office block, situated in a prime location in the capital of Croatia, is another valuable part of our diversified portfolio within the country. With a GLA of 10,650m2 and a value of P410 million, this desirable property is replete with top-tier tenants including Unilever, Hrvatska Poštanska bank and Mazars.
- Cape Quarter Square, Green Point, Western Cape, South Africa
Our flagship property in Cape Town is the centrally located Cape Quarter Square, valued at P383 million and with floorspace of 22,057m2. The property hosts a range of both retail and office tenants such as Spar, Clicks and Rain, amongst many others.

Another of our flagship office properties, the Sunclare building has proved to be one of the Fund’s best-performing investments. The property is located in the centre of a thriving node in Claremont, next to Cavendish shopping centre and surrounded by top financial services companies. The property, valued at P212 million and with 14,704m2 of lettable area, itself hosts a well-balanced mix of blue-chip and up-and-coming tenants, including WNS, Spaces/Regus and Bootlegger Coffee.
- Meridijan 16, Zagreb, Croatia
The Meridijan 16 property, at P262 million and 9,362m2, is a successful shopping centre in Croatia’s capital. Anchored by national supermarket Konzum, and under a head-lease agreement, this property benefits from high-yielding, stable income.
