CHOBE MARINA LODGE CATERS FOR 1000 UNESCO DELEGATES At The BRIDGE

Chobe Marina Lodge proudly served as the official opening function’s caterer for the 18th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, welcoming over 1,000 UNESCO delegates.

Held at the Cresta Mowana Resort in Kasane, Botswana from December 4th to 9th, 2023, the conference was chaired by H.E. Mr. Mustaq Moorad, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Botswana to UNESCO. This prestigious event coincided with the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention, a landmark agreement that has significantly strengthened global efforts to preserve living traditions and cultural expressions.

Chobe Marina Lodge’s team delighted guests with their renowned hospitality and expertise, crafting exquisite menus that showcased the culinary delights of Botswana and embraced the spirit of cultural diversity. The opening function was a resounding success, setting the stage for a week of fruitful discussion and collaboration in safeguarding the world’s intangible cultural heritage.
