Nov 28, 2024 | Awards & Recognition, In the News, Press Releases

Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW) is a cultural pillar for all Marriott-branded hotels. This year’s theme is “Marriott Bonvoy Endless Possibilities!” It is an important week, where we take time to celebrate our customers and highlight the benefits of being a Marriott Bonvoy member! During this week, executives from all levels of leadership partner with all sales channels and hotel departments to engage in creative ways to thank our customers for their business and close on new business opportunities. Pictures show the different activities that the sales team and the rest of the hotel organized for this special week.

Our hotel proudly celebrated World Children’s Day by hosting an unforgettable “Day in a Hotel” with the children from the School of the Deaf in Ramotswa Village. This special day was dedicated to fostering inclusivity, connection, and empowerment for children with hearing disabilities. The children were warmly welcomed to the hotel, where they enjoyed the hotel tour, the kids experienced a world of hospitality while learning about various roles within the industry. One of the highlights of the day was the involvement of our very own Chef Ogone, who is Deaf. His presence brought a personal and inspiring touch to the event, showing the children what is possible when one’s passions and talents are embraced. Chef Ogone engaged with the children using sign language, creating an immediate connection. He shared his journey of becoming a professional chef and demonstrated some simple culinary techniques. The kids were thrilled to participate in a hands-on cooking session, guided by someone they could relate to so closely. This interaction not only inspired the children but also showed them the value of perseverance and self-belief.

The hotel sponsored and participated in the fourth annual HATAB Golf Day held on the 08 November 2024, This year’s event converged 102 private sector decision makers including 28 players from City Golf Association, Nigeria. The purpose of this event was to provide networking opportunities for Members as well as to expand our reach within the tourism sector alongside our stakeholders in a relaxed setting. Our team didn’t win but did their best! Well done team.

Our Sous Chef, hosted Rati The Coking Kid who is 11 year old with culinary skills only seen in some of the most experienced Chef. He I currently in Grade 4 and his enthusiast for food started when he was 4 years old. It was an afternoon where other children came to learn and interact with Chef Rati as well while he was exchanging notes with our Chefs. Looks like we will be hosting more of these kiddies events soon.
