In the spirit of Nelson Mandela’s legacy, the RDC Cape Town team came together on Friday, 1 August 2025 for a heartfelt outreach initiative aimed at uplifting vulnerable members of the local community.
Driven by a shared sense of purpose, compassion, and inclusiveness, our staff prepared 320 sandwiches and served 500 cups of warm soup to individuals in the Cape Flats. Many of the recipients were unemployed construction workers waiting for day jobs, as well as others facing the daily challenges of poverty, especially difficult during the winter months.
This staff-led initiative reflected more than charitable giving; it was a powerful demonstration of Ubuntu in action and aligned with RDC’s values of integrity and empathy. By dedicating their time, energy, and care, team members helped bring nourishment and dignity to those in need, while reinforcing our belief that collective action creates lasting impact.
Importantly, feeding initiatives are one of RDC’s core CSI focus areas, and this effort reaffirms our commitment to supporting underserved communities through meaningful, people-centred outreach.
At RDC, we remain dedicated to honouring the values that Nelson Mandela stood for, compassion, unity, and the power of serving others, while living our own values through every action we take.
